You may be interested to know that we are now offering a new senior clinic with one of our qualified veterinary nurses, allowing you to help your pet stay healthy and happy as the years go by.
It is especially important to carry out regular checks as your pet gets older, as many illnesses which occur in older animals come on gradually, with few symptoms noticeable the condition is very advanced.
A thorough history will be taken, along with blood and urine camples. Your verterinary surgeon will then contact you with the results and a plan of any treatment needed.
Our aim is to establish that the majority of our more elderly pets are fit and healthy - normal blood results give us all peace of mind that your pet is doing well and provide a baseline to assess any changes in your pet over time.
In our clinics we offer and discuss:
Diagnostic blood tests which check out the liver, kidneys, thyroid, diabetes, anaemia etc.
thorough history taking
Nutritional advice
Urine tests
Weight check
Mobility assessment
Toileting
Exercise
Checks ears and eyes, mouth and dental disease
Examination for lumps and bumps
All this at a cost of only £35 including VAT. Lab results and interpretation will be available within 24 - 48 hours.
Clinics are open to all healthy cats or dogs over the age of 8.
They take place one morning and one afternoon a week, by appointment only.
